Building Community at Piper Shores provides many substantive ways for our residents to connect with community organizations throughout southern Maine and the Greater Portland area. Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center is the “hospital within a hospital” that offers children throughout New England the best, most complete care possible. They specialize in all aspects of pediatric medicine for infants, young children and teens. Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital is a valued community resource that shares our vision of excellence in care giving and compassion. Piper Shores is proud to sponsor the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center.

The Maine Audubon Society works to conserve Maine’s wildlife in three ways: providing hands-on environmental education for people of all ages, conducting research and wildlife conservation projects statewide and taking action to help shape effective science-based conservation policy.

The Maine Jewish Film Festival is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a forum for the presentation of films to enrich, educate and entertain a diverse community about the Jewish experience.

The Alzheimer's Association, Maine Chapter serves the entire State of Maine as a voluntary health organization dedicated to finding prevention, treatments and, eventually, a cure for Alzheimer dementia.

For several years, residents have flocked to presentations by the Portland Symphony Orchestra. Piper Shores is proud to sponsor select PSO Classical Sundays concerts at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland.
