Piper Shores Announces 7th Annual Summer Solstice Resident Art Show

 Piper Shores, Maine’s first and only nonprofit lifecare retirement community, today announced the 7th Annual Summer Solstice Resident Art Show will take place on Saturday, June 20th from 1-4pm in the Great Room at Piper Shores. A very popular event with many residents of Piper Shores as well as the area art community, the Summer Solstice Art Show will feature works from thirty Piper Shores’ residents. This year, resident artwork on display will include several examples of watercolors, oils, photography, jewelry, tapestries and much more.
Throughout the afternoon, the artists will also be on hand to discuss the origin of each piece as well as the artistic journey – some beginning long ago, others more recent – each resident has taken to arrive at this place together.
“Each of our residents brings a very unique set of talents and experiences to our community,” said Deb Riddell, Executive Director at Piper Shores. “Year after year, I am amazed by the talent that is on display at the Art Show. We certainly have a very diverse, active group of seniors here at Piper Shores.”
